Pack a picnic basket, bring the family, and invite your friends for a summertime outing aboard a vintage, diesel-powered train during the evening or afternoon. Trip duration and routes will vary based on the date and you'll enjoy your picnic during the trip itself. Cars for guests 21 and over will be available, too. Tickets start at $9.00 for children and $12.00 in deluxe coach and first-class tables for parties of four guests are $75.00. First-class tickets include complimentary beverages and non-alcoholic drinks. Guests are responsible for packing their food and picnic supplies. You pack the picnic, we'll provide the ride! On August 11th, the train will meet the Little River Railroad in Hillsdale, Michigan for a brief stop. Guests can alight the train, stretch their legs, and visit Little River's historic steam locomotive during the stop before returning to Pleasant Lake.

Due to its historic nature, the Indiana Rail Experience is not traditionally ADA-accessible. A limited number of ADA seats are available in Deluxe Coach No. 142 and a portable wheelchair lift is available at most boarding sites. Otherwise, passenger cars used on excursions feature steep steps, narrow hallways, and doorways, as well as small restrooms which can present challenges for guests with limited mobility.
