Beat the heat and enjoy complimentary ice cream on a train ride through the Indiana countryside! These family-friendly passenger roundtrips depart downtown Angola and operate several times daily. All trips are 1 hour in duration. Children 3 and under who do not occupy a seat do not require a ticket.The Ice Cream Train will be powered by Nickel Plate Road steam locomotive no. 765 on May 27th and May 28th and powered by a vintage diesel locomotive on June 24th and July 16th. Saturday departures are at 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM. Sunday departures are at PM 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM.
Passenger cars are air-conditioned. Restrooms are available on-site and on board our trains. Seats are not assigned. Passengers should arrive no later than 20 minutes prior to boarding time. Due to its historic nature, the Indiana Rail Experience is not traditionally ADA-accessible. Cars used on excursions feature steep steps, narrow hallways, and doorways, as well as small restrooms which can present challenges for guests with limited mobility.
