Enjoy an all-day steam excursion on Father’s Day Weekend featuring historic Nickel Plate Road steam locomotive no. 765! These excursions will treat passengers to a summer train ride from Edon, Ohio to Southeastern Michigan for a three-hour layover in the historic downtown of Hillsdale on Saturday and Jonesville on Sunday.
Departing at 9:00 AM, the train will arrive in each town for lunch, where passengers can enjoy lunch and area amenities on their own. Shuttles will be provided to assist guests in traveling to each downtown area and many businesses will have special operating hours to cater exclusively to the train.
With a scheduled departure at 3:00 PM, the train will arrive back in Edon in the evening before 7:00 PM. A photo runby is planned on the return trip so guests can enjoy photographing and filming the train at speed.
Deluxe Coach, Open-Air, First-Class, and Private-Car tickets are available. Select amenities include open vestibules, onboard entertainment, a photo runby, and light appetizers and drink service for first-class passengers. A limited number of ADA seats are available in Deluxe Coach No. 142 and 148, and a portable wheelchair lift is available at most boarding sites.
